OK, I realized that the blog page was getting rather long, so I cut out all  of the the previous post in order to make it easier to keep up with!

The show in Detroit was GREAT! I want to send out a great big thank you to the Detroit PHC for having me at their pre-Buffett party and to Don Middlebrook for letting me share his PA system! The party started at 6:00 PM and went till midnight with Don and I alternating sets. The music was non-stop!

We left Tuesday morning and made the drine to Pittsburgh without incident and got to our hotel about 3:00 PM. Pat Kaley then came and got us and we took Debra to a nail place so she could get her nails repared while Pat and i went next door to a nice local bar and had a beer. Later some other friends joined us for a great dinner and followed that up with a tour of Pittsburgh. I'll tell you what. I had a completely wrong idea of what Pittsburgh would look like. I had thought that it would be kind of flat, but as we were driving into town, we hit mountains! Pats daughter Kristen drove us down town and then up to the top of a HUGE hill that over looks the city. Man it was soooooo cool! All of these old home that have been beautifully refurbished over looking the river below and the city beyond! As we were looking out over the city from an overlook, we looked down and there was a mama deer and a baby deer just below the over look! I have never seen deer inside of a city before and it was ex[plained that these were inner city deer!

Tonight we have the show starting at 5:30 PM with myself, then come Cornedbeef and Cury (some of my favorite musicians and friends) and they will play till............

I want you to know that we had a GREAT time in Pittsburgh! Wow! The Pittsburgh PHC came out for their social hour and we had one of the biggest crowds ever. John and Bob from Corned Beef and Curry were GREAT as usual and were extraordinarily kind! Thanks again to Bob for setting up the PA and helping me get my sound right!

We left Pittsburgh after a lite breakfast with the Kaley's and hit the road for Chicago. We had a nice drive through the Ohio and Indiana country side and i was very impressed with all of the corn fields. They have had some good rain up here and everything looks so nice and green. For just a moment I had a vision of myself sitting on the front porch of a big old farm house having a cocktail at the end of the day looking out over he fields, but quickly decided that some one else would be better siuted to farming!!

Anyway, we arrived in Chicago without incident and had a wonderful evening hanging out with Jim and Liz Whaley. We had a nice dinner at one of their favorite restaurants and afterwards I broke out my guiar and played a few songs for the locals sitting around the bar!

Tonight promises to be a most memorable night. The weather is absolutely perfect and I am so excited about performing tonight!

I also want to let you know that my new song "Drill Baby Drill" should be available on CD Baby and all of their digital download partners in the next few days. All of the procedes from this song are going to go to the wildlife restoration effort on the Gulf Coast.
